Another win for the Fiat 500 electric at the Parkers New Car Awards

The All-Electric Fiat 500 has won its second award of the season, grabbing the title of Small Electric Car of the Year 2023 at the Parkers New Car Awards. The judges weren’t just impressed with its aesthetic – although they loved that, too – but praised it for its interior spec and electric performance.

“[Its] iconic shape, fun ethos and cheap running costs have resulted in huge and enduring popularity. But turning it into an electric car has added a whole other dimension. Now it zips chicly around town with all the style and panache of a petrol-engined 500, but now it offers a silent and serene driving experience.”

The 500’s compact dimensions have long positioned it as one of the most popular city cars in the UK. That, coupled with the impressive up to 199-mile (WLTP) range and fast charging capability, is helping the electric hatchback make a splash in the market. The 500 can charge from 10-80% in just 30 minutes using a fast charger, so this small electric car is more than equipped to support city drivers in their day to day lives.

There’s no wonder the All-Electric Fiat 500 has scooped up this award for the second year in a row. Greg Taylor, UK Managing Director for Fiat and Abarth, said: “A myriad of best-in-class features – such as level 2 autonomous driving – an impressive driving range, as well as multiple trim levels, it is no surprise the All-Electric 500 continues to grab attention among industry experts.”
